Want to also note:(Code was Provided by BonusXP and was for the PS4) Ever since the announcement at the Game Awards in 2018 showing a trailer with the main character of the show, then on April 3rd, 2019 they showed some gameplay of the the game even with some characters. As of so far it seems that there are certain modes of difficulty in the game. As of it being finally released it also released on the Xbox One, PS4, PC and the Nintendo Switch, so let’s get into it! Modes and CharactersIn the game there are about 2 Modes for now hopefully which for the New Players that basically don’t want to die is standard, and for the Players or type of people who understand more attention and detail in combat and the character selection, such as the trinket selection makes it a big deal on Master mode. As you select a mode there are 12 characters will be playable in the game, including Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will Hopper, Joyce, Jonathan, Nancy and Billy? Alrighty then. They do even have some weapons nor skills to choose from as for Eleven for example she has a Thinking Cap that increases her power of Psychic Energy for her special move aka The Nuke. As the game so far looks very retro like many games on the Sega Genesis and SNES during the day like Sonic Mania for example but as this game takes this in a overhead view as apparently to similar on the Mobile version unlike that one this game also includes Local Co-Op and Solo gameplay. As for the Solo players like me here, get to use special commands as they call “buddy commands” to control the actions of the characters kind of like Street Fighter and it even does gives this feel to it but more in a mystery type deal. Story, etcAs the story is basically from the show “Stranger Things” in Season 3 so apparently make sure you watch the show or some of the episodes of the season before hoping on as it can be quite confusing even though it’s 1:1 with it as best advice from many people is that the show does explain it better than the game so keep our eyes on that. It, also has side quests to keep you going besides the main story which is great to explore in the world of Stranger Things. So apparently after completing the game for the first time ever, you unlock a new mode in the game called “Elimination Mode” which is where if the character dies it stays dead in the game. Kinda like Detroit: Become Human or many other titles like the Walking Dead by Telltale games. Even sadly enough the game isn’t quite long at all which it’s about around 5-7 or more besides the side quests etc. even with finding these things called Gnomes are around the city of Hawkins being around 50 to be exact so good luck on that apparently. Also side quests aren’t hard at all nor long either but to be warned there are puzzles to figure out and some can be tough for some players, and want to warn there are 8 chapters and all basically can start with 3 side quests, even deciding to pick them up in a certain order you do them in even want to add that the game tries to stick with the show but unsurprisingly lacks the same punch of the emotional part in it even with the combat being lovely to play in. Also most importantly the game even is polished very well.. However replaying to find everything in the game can be tough in the Elimination Mode even with some parts can be poorly designed, and yeah some characters like hopper could’ve been improved in my opinion around this but oh well. As many fans could be little upset that Robin isn’t a playable character sorry y’all I had to break it to ya, and some bosses can be worth fighting so good note in that, even the controls are simple and smooth to use. Final VerdictAs of overall this is a must have for any Stranger Things fan or a person who enjoys the show in many ways for how it is. Quote: “An enjoyable 16 bit game with a twist of it being based from the shows for fans to enjoy” Rating 8/10 Until then.. GAME ON! -Timthegamer12 Follow me on tWitter!
