Oooh boy, this is getting interesting. According to sources like Tails Channel, etc. SEGA has officially trademarked the name "Sonic Frontiers" which was originally also mentioned as a name for a certain survey that was done around October, though the name and everything wasn't mentioned by the publisher. But more then that let's continue on the Trademarking part that was shown today. What makes this more interesting is that apparently with the trademarking coming today from the Japan Patent Office, according to many third parties of the trademarking repositories, they have mentioned "Sonic Frontiers" being the title for the next game. Around the month of May, SEGA did accidentally mention in a press release or article that the next Sonic Game would be in fact called "Sonic Rangers" yet was believed to be the development title or codename (I believe more of a codename then anything else). Most of the Fans of Sonic were speculating that the rumored survey has intentions of having the name "Sonic Frontiers", and was likely related to the upcoming leaked title "Rangers" being the upcoming title in 2022, plus it was wildly assumed/claimed to be open-world game for the blue blur himself. Sonic the Hedgehog's next big adventure is expected to release in 2022.
So we don't know what the game could be at all, maybe it is open-world, etc. Just have to wait and see! Til then.. Game ON! -Timothy Stambaugh (TimTheGamer12)
