According to IGN the game company who made the known for the 2015 reboot of Star Wars: Battlefront and the 2017 title Battlefront II known as DICE confirmed that April 29th, 2020 for Battlefront II will be the last update for regular content in the game. Even though the server and support will still be on-going like double XP, challenges, etc. and with the vision for Battlefront II being completed with this last update known as "The Battle on Scarif," they hope the game can go through the years to come.
Here's a video to take a look:

What's in the new update for Battlefront II (2017)?

The update will add maps but not just only add a tropical planet location from Rogue One. They will be adding it to multiple modes, even adding a new hero/villain looks primarily based on the film "The Rise of Skywalker".  Rey now with a yellow lightsaber, Kylo Ren with his new reforged mask, and a brand new version of Emperor Palpatine. Cool thing to note from the source that they mention that reaching 5,000 eliminations/kills with Darth Maul will add his Old Master appearance and uncovering the mystery of Takodana will earn you Rey's hooded look in-game.  The Age of Rebellion will be made available for modes  Supremacy and Instant Action. With maps to battle in Hoth, Tatooine, Yavin 4, Death Star and Scarif. Fighting in the Age of Rebellion Supremacy you will take place in the ground phase, but you will be able to pilot starfighters.

It also mentions that offline solo players will gain access to co-op modes that indicates working with or not working with the AIs, which will be an addition to the Instant Action menu.

Forgot to mention the exciting part of the IGN article. If you look upon it, they state that DICE says here in a quote referring a new Battlefront game is coming for 2021 and here’s what it states “Longer term, the studio is focused on the future of Battlefield that we’ll be bringing to players in 2021.”.

This seems quite exciting and more hope for fans and players of the series get more action for the next title this next-gen or just PC in general like me for example. Just can't wait for the upcoming title even though Jedi Fallen Order looked super promising and suitable for the Single Player genre, and hope they try that in here.

Until then guys.. GAME ON!
