Hello everyone I am back at it again with a review and a long waited hiatus return. Currently school has been pushing me back as a whole lately and these past months been with a lovely team named Jack of All Controllers. So frankly if confused where I was then there’s the explanation... Anyways lets begin upon this review for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. To be warned this may likely contain spoilers. If you don’t care then we can continue. The introduction (CONTAINS SPOILERS)after the many events of year 2 “Forsaken” seeing the fall of a leader of the hunters “Cayde-6” and ending with us avenging him, then later on taking down many foes like Riven we are back again to the moon to cover this haunted hemisphere. (SPOILERS): In the beginning Eris Morn was on duty searching for something on the moon during the time being, and on what certainly she found was apparently an awakening. As us the guardians search out on the moon with the Hive causing some problems in the planet seeking out that this weird ship that was a pyramid that have apparently killed half of human life during the Collapse causing this sound wave nor barrier between its disturbance between the source. As the guardian stood there finding out what this red smoke was it apparently was resurrecting an old enemy.. “Crota”. As the guardians ghost becoming shocked of that he was slain before (Want to note I was a veteran of the game and knew that Crota was slain before and could be different for some) even during the battle Crota was healing its self showing us other enemies even an enemies we fought already back Dominius Ghual, Fikrul, the Fanatic and so on. As the ghost called for the guardian to escape except we knew Eris Morn called out to come to her and after we speak to hear about this mysterious symbolic ship she mentions us needing to go in it and which began Shadowkeep. P.S the moons always haunted. What has changed or improved? Many things through-out the game has dramatically improved and certain things well kinda have which would technically say Finishers, even it’s lovely the RPG Elements. The RPG Elements make Destiny 2: Shadowkeep or the game itself feel totally different and more of Destiny 1, and why you may ask? The armor stats and everything else feels like if you need to survive or play well your gonna need some armor to survive and finally Finishers. Finishers take a huge change to the game by instead of just taking them out you can literally tell them who’s there daddy in the field, even loving the fact that you can purchase in ever-verse or earn a finisher in the seasonal pass. The seasonal pass is a huge difference in the series itself, and mostly reminding me a lot of Fortnite or other games like Apex Legends taking this pledge of doing so, even with Activision gone Bungie has a lot to improve upon even with the pass itself. Vanguard Strikes now have a playlist to where you can go upon a difficulty called the Odeal and don’t worry you can still do the same old Nightfalls except the Odel has matchmaking. 1. Adept is basically normal mode at around 750 power level which many will be when you start. 2. Hero mode is 920 power level and higher which adds 2 or more elemental symbols enemies like Anti-Barrier for example which is an Triangle shaped symbol which the enemy would release this shield to heal and in order to destroy it is to use a hand cannon nor rifle to stun them which gives me some RPG feels Loving the artifacts in the season giving a change with these certain elements to take and enemy in harder modes of Nightfalls etc, but the one issue is the Thunder Coil and others as it’s been kinda ruining Crucible lately hopefully it gets fixed soon as possible, and 960 or 950 being the power cap and can go beyond that with certain raids is a nice addition to the end game at 900 power. The Main VerdictDestiny 2 is certainly going to a better state of mind but still has a lot to fix through the seasons which is gonna happen eventually, and loving the road map there doing through the seasons.
Even with the cliffhanger of an ending causing it lead into the raid most likely on the artifact and don’t get me wrong the raid is an interesting challenge to do but why so short? The crucible still needs fixes. Which I can tell by that, most importantly a good reason but for how long it’s been ain’t sorta right. Do enjoy the multiple modes to choose from honestly, but the combat and certain things in there still needs some adjustments here and there. Still got lot to do here but not bad Bungie not so Bad.. Quote: “A lovely expansion to get it back in its place again as a whole.” Rating: 8.0/10
