After a long time Infinity Ward making many games during the time being even with the Modern Warfare series which I totally enjoyed back then, and after a while. Modern Warfare was a well-known series years ago from its other predecessors of sequels as of a couple of years people where curious if Modern Warfare would ever return after Infinite Warfare so now we begin the time of the game’s development. Development after the years and so on now.The Modern Warfare series has been around for a long time and begun as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007 with the development they tried to avoid referencing current real-life wars, opposing forces of similar strength, for it to be enhanced realistically they attended a live-fire exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms, in the California desert. It helped the developers simulate the effects of being near an Abrams tank when it fires after all of that the story took place in 2011, and when the released they received universal acclaim from critics, with the gameplay and story receiving particular praises and also being IGN’s best Xbox 360 game during the time and made over sixteen million copies as of 2013. It followed up with two sequels titled Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare 2 was released in 2009, and the game’s development began in 2008 when it was titled as “Call of Duty 6” it used the IW 4.0 engine, that was an improved version that was inspired by real-life conflicts, and the game on launch sold almost approximately 4.7 million copies in twenty-four hours on release, and was also universally acclaimed and the game’s characters was also produced, and entitled “Modern Warfare 2: Ghost” Modern Warfare 3 comes in the line which supposedly ends the series as a whole when the game was being worked on they’ve used the same IW engine, development for the game began in 2010 with more than one developer in the time, and prior to it that the co-founders of Infinity Ward “Jason West” and “Vince Zampella” left at that time to form Respawn Entertainment. Other members were fired or left the company due to the duo’s departure, as Sledgehammer Games joined the development force with Raven Software there was a huge leak on the internet claiming multiple teaser trailers were released showcasing a location that was in the campaign, leading up to the reveal, and after the nonsense the game received positive reviews and won the Best Shooter at the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards, and had also massive commercial/advertisement success with over 6.5 million copies in twenty-four hours on release and grossed 400 million becoming the biggest launch of all time (at the time being). So here we are now, Infinity Ward was following up with its 2016 title “Infinite Warfare” and continuing the three-year development cycle tradition for the franchise. Developers, High Moon Studios, Beenox, Raven Software provided additional development that this game would use a new engine for the series and allowing detailed environments, advanced photogrammetry, better rendering, volumetric lighting and the use of ray-tracing. Even the studio art director Joel Emslie describes the narrative of the game as “much more grown-up and mature”, designed to elicit a more intimate and emotional response from players through a deception of contemporary events, and even the Campaign gameplay director Jacob Minkoff expressed his desire for video games to go further in exploring otherwise traditionally taboo topics in the medium, and noting that television series and films such as Homeland, American Sniper and Sicario told like for example being “relatable, realistic, relevant and provocative stories that can touch people” So now after those many years, and after Infinite Warfare, they went back to the first game and came out as a reboot, not a sequel, but to be reimagined. Campaign & main menu, etcOn the Main Menu, it has three options: Campaign - Begins the Story of the Game Multiplayer - Rank up and Compete against others Co-Op (Spec Ops) - a Cooperative mode that has missions for you to do online or offline Also, the options menu is nice and easy to go into even the language is easy to change for people who can’t speak English, and colorblind options with so many super useful options to choose from like the film grain or motion blur. Now for the Campaign, it takes place in a realistic and modern setting which also features the time being in 2019, with a chemical gas heading for Urzikstan, with the CIA officer named Alex was being intercepted by hostiles who killed off Marine raiders who were escorting or guiding Alex and escaping with the Gas. Alex had an officer who handled the situation was named Kate that requested some assistance from Captain Price (which many know Price from the Modern Warfare series and seeing him back can be quite exciting) in recovering the chemicals and deescalating the situation upon Russia. 24 hours later suicide bombers afflicted with the terror group known as AI-Qatala attacked Piccadilly Circus, London as Sergeant Kyle was dispatched to contain the situation and so far the story gets better and better throughout. It’s very jaw-dropping and combat in the game can be very exhilarating and fun even having multiple difficulties for you to choose from as well to stack up the challenge for fun. I did have some problems here and there in my experience some details kinda didn’t load in here and there, Realistic difficulty or “Realism” being two hits to be down, not sure if that quite accurate for certain weapons and drones but a pistol certainly reasonable except on the headshot, game freeze random time being still doesn’t take away how good frames and stuff was, it’s phenomenal but sadly why no FOV slider and do love that no loading screen. Want to note that the story can take up to 6 hours in Hardened mode but can be longer in higher modes. Multiplayer & Co-Op As we go to Multiplayer here are the modes you can do. Quick Play- Basically a quick match with random selected game modes and maps Ground War - a Large scale of conflict of 100 players with vehicles and captured objectives for your team GunFight - Small teams with multi-round caged matches with a limit or most like Elimination Mode Free-For-All - Basically mean you fight everyone in 1v1 situation Realism - Hides most of the hud and gives out Realistic mode experience which is a lot like Hardcore mode in the Black Ops series, etc. Private Match - Custom match mode which you can select maps, game modes or maybe custom ones with your friends to have fun like tag, or maybe snipers only. Honestly for the first time ever in the franchise history seeing it also supports Cross-Play between the Xbox One and PC was nice of them to also remove microtransactions from the game as of right now and even adding free content post-launch. Multiplayer in otherwise is fun sometimes even with the maps being so open you wanna go explore it in a custom match to maybe searching for some Easter eggs or something that catches your eyes in the detail and lighting but can be irritating on how big it can be in an online match with people. The one issue I’ll be jumping on Multiplayer is that there are some white phosphorus strikes as a mechanic as I find it in this being a violation of some sort, even Ground War is a crazy mode to enjoy having over 100 players in the field and my favorite model so far “Gun-Fight” having to compete against team after team reminding me a lot of Rainbow six siege but instead it’s more of being 2v2. Modes for Spec-Ops: Public Match - Team up online on missions Survival - The classic survival in how you can do so. Classic Spec-Ops - Spec Ops but a replay-able experience. Cinematics - Cutscenes you can look at from the missions you selected Private Match - Basically custom match. Spec-Ops pretty sweet even with it continuing after you finish the campaign leading you to where the group Al-Qatala re-emerging with a new leader who is posing a threat to Russian forces and Sergeant Karmarov of the FSB which authorized you a joint operation with the FSB enlisting the best operators you use to do missions that are challenging and an experience you can enjoy with friends people online against the new threat, and it even has Survival Mode if you enjoy that lovely Modern Warfare survival ops stuff and pretty cool that you can set up your Operator to your own liking as in Multiplayer. VerdictEven though there are some issues here and there on the game like Multiplayer, and most of the stuff was slowly saved in the jaw-dropping Campaign as I think they should pat there back for doing something good that the series needed in a long time.
